What sparks the next wave of STEM innovation? ???? The World Robot Olympiad 2025 (WRO) in Hyderabad, India, held on 5th, 6th, and 7th September, was a powerful answer to that question.
I had the privilege of serving as the Head Judge for the Future Innovators category, where 125 teams across 3 age groups—Elementary (8–12 years), Junior (11–15 years), and Senior (14–19 years)—presented their groundbreaking ideas. Alongside 24 fellow judges, we carefully evaluated projects on research & innovation, robotics solutions, and teamwork.
Over three energetic days, the event saw more than 300 teams across 4 categories, with participants aged 8 to 22 years. The creativity, problem-solving, and passion on display were truly inspiring—from futuristic robots to real-world solutions addressing today’s challenges.
Events like WRO don’t just showcase robotics; they build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and resilience among young minds. It was an honor to witness how these future changemakers are reimagining technology and shaping tomorrow.
A heartfelt thanks to India STEM Foundation for organizing such a large-scale, impactful event, and to Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology for hosting the talented panel of judges. Grateful to be part of this journey of mentoring, learning, and inspiring the next generation.
