On July 2, 2024, TeachSTEAM, in collaboration with AMA Art & Craft, Rajkot, hosted an innovative Brick & Brush workshop that brought together the worlds of art and LEGO® for a one-of-a-kind creative experience. This workshop, the first of its kind in Rajkot, aimed to unleash the artistic potential in children through a harmonious blend of LEGO-based painting and LEGO® building.
Children of 4 to 13 years were encouraged to express their creativity in two distinct yet complementary ways—by painting vibrant masterpieces on canvas and constructing imaginative LEGO® structures. The workshop was designed to not only enhance artistic skills but also to foster cognitive development, problem-solving abilities, and spatial awareness through play.
The event was a lively and colorful affair, with children eagerly diving into both activities. The combination of brushes and bricks allowed them to think outside the box, explore new concepts, and bring their ideas to life in tangible forms. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and a sense of achievement as each child proudly showcased their dual creations.
The Brick & Brush workshop exemplifies TeachSTEAM’s commitment to blending art with STEM education, providing children with holistic learning experiences that are both educational and fun.
